My system is offline

The most common causes of the pool equipment being offline are:

  • The power to Pooled Energy equipment has been turned off – check that the Pooled Energy equipment is plugged into a power point and that the power point is switched on.
  • The home wifi router is turned off – check that the home router is plugged into a power point and that the power point is switched on.
  • The password for the home wifi network has been changed. Follow the instructions below to update the WiFi password in the Pooled Energy equipment to get connected again.

If you have changed your home Wi-Fi details, you will need to update your pool system with the new Wi-Fi details.

Before starting, make sure of the following:

  • You have your iPhone or Android mobile phone or tablet
  • You have the Pooled Energy Pool App installed on your iPhone or Android mobile phone or tablet
  • You can log in and load the Pooled Energy Pool App
  • You have your home 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network details ready
  • You are standing within close physical proximity of your Pooled Energy system
  • Your Pooled Energy system is plugged into a power point AND the power point is switched on
  • Your home Wi-Fi router is plugged into a power point AND the power point is switched on.  If your home Wi-Fi network is not configured as as “hidden” network, you can confirm that it is available by checking that your home Wi-Fi network is listed as an available Wi-Fi network on your mobile phone or tablet.

iOS Devices

  1. Navigate to the Wi-Fi configuration page found on the ‘Settings’ page in the Pooled Energy application
  2. Click ‘Connect’ and when prompted, click ‘Join’
  3. This will start a Wi-Fi network scan
  4. Select your home Wi-Fi from the list
  5. If it doesn’t appear, scroll to the bottom of the page and click ‘Scan’
  6. Enter your home Wi-Fi password and click ‘Ok’
  7. This will begin to connect your Pool System to your home Wi-Fi network
  8. If successful, you will be prompted saying that the Wi-Fi configuration process was successful

Android Devices

  1. Navigate to the Wi-Fi configuration page found on the ‘Settings’ page in the Pooled Energy application
  2. Click ‘Connect’

Something went wrong?

Let’s see if we can help:

  • Check that your Pooled Energy system is plugged into a power point AND the power point is switched on.
  • Check that your home Wi-Fi router is plugged into a power point AND the power point is switched on.  If your home Wi-Fi network is not configured as as “hidden” network, you can confirm that it is available by checking that your home Wi-Fi network is listed as an available Wi-Fi network on your mobile phone or tablet.
  • Check that your home Wi-Fi router is configured to broadcast a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.  It’s OK if your Wi-Fi router is broadcasting BOTH a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network AND a 5GHz Wi-Fi network.  However, your Pooled Energy system will ONLY connect to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network which means that your home Wi-Fi router cannot be configured to broadcast ONLY a 5GHz Wi-Fi network.
